This email serves as a formal plea to have the message boards restored to a public access forum. By changing the format, you have deprived all of us of the opportunity to share our experiences at Quarrier's Homes and you reneged on your statement on the Home Page of [your] website that your purpose was to allow us to communicate with each other. I know that not all experiences were good ones and it's uncomfortable for you to have to read those messages but, the fact remains that those experiences are as real as the happy ones. The message boards helped many to realise they were not alone in what happened to them and gave great comfort by letting them share their pain. Closing this public forum has caused untold distress to people who gained solace by just reading the posts even if they never wrote anything.
If asked I'm sure that most, if not all, would agree that there could be some restrictions on the message boards, i.e.; no abusive or threatening language, no cursing and no naming of names.
I would appreciate a response to this email.
Thank you.
